Privacy Policy

We acknowledge that we are responsible for the protection and proper management of personal information as a member of society, and hereby set forth the following policies, which shall be enforced, maintained and improved.

  1. Basic Policy

    We recognize the importance of personal information, and will respect and comply with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, related laws and regulations as well as accepted social morals, and shall endeavor to appropriately handle, manage and protect such information.
    We will also continuously improve our system for the protection of personal information by reviewing the same from time to time.

  2. Acquisition, Utilization and Provision of Personal Information

    We will acquire personal information through appropriate means, shall expressly state, inform and disclose the purposes of utilization, and shall not use the same for any purpose other than the scope of such purposes without the consent of the individuals from whom such information was acquired.
    In the event that such personal information is provided or disclosed to any third party, we will do so in compliance with the procedures stipulated by laws and regulations.

  3. Purposes of Utilization of Personal Information

    1. Utilization in connection with performance of contracts and provision of information and/or services concerning acquisition, management and disposition etc. (including the sale, purchase, exchange, lease, and brokerage thereof) of real properties etc. (including trust beneficiary interests).
    2. Utilization in connection with performance of contracts and provision of information and/or services concerning due diligence activities (evaluation of real properties) etc.
    3. Supervision of our officers, employees and contractors.

  4. Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties

    Personal information possessed by us may be provided to third parties in the following events:

    1. in the event that the individual whose personal information is to be disclosed or provided has consented to such disclosure or provision;
    2. in the event that such disclosure or provision is in accordance with laws and regulations;
    3. in the event that the handling of personal information is necessary for the protection of the life, person, or property of anyone and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the person whose information is at issue;
    4. in the event that the handling of personal information is necessary for improving public health or promoting the sound growth of children and where it is difficult to obtain the consent of the person whose information is at issue;
    5. in the event that the handling of personal information is necessary for a national or local government etc.to carry out administrative work as required by laws and regulations and where any consent of the person whose information is at issue is likely to hinder the completion of such work;
    6. in the event that the handling of personal information is entrusted to an independent contractor to the extent necessary for achieving the purposes of utilization;
    7. in the event that personal information is provided due to any succession of business for M&A and other reasons; and
    8. In the event that personal information is jointly utilized in accordance with Article 7 below.

  5. Security Control Measures for Personal Information

    We will properly and prudently manage personal information possessed by us and implement necessary and adequate security control measures to prevent any unauthorized access to, or loss, tampering or leakage etc. of, personal information.

  6. Entrustment of Handling of Personal Information

    We may entrust the handling of personal information possessed by us to independent contractors, in which case we will select contractors that have in place sufficient security measures for the protection of personal information, and we will supervise them in a necessary and appropriate manner.

  7. Joint Utilization of Personal Information

    If a customer's personal information is jointly utilized, we ensure that the customer will be notified prior to such joint utilization of personal information items to be jointly utilized, those who may jointly use the personal information, purpose of utilization, and a person responsible for management of personal information to be jointly utilized.

  8. Procedures for Disclosure and Correction etc. of Personal Information

    In the event of a request made by a customer or his/her representative for disclosure, correction, addition or deletion, or discontinuance of utilization, erasing or discontinuance of provision to third parties of the retained personal data (collectively, "Request for Disclosure etc."), upon identifying the requesting person, we will provide such person with a written answer within a reasonable period of time and to the reasonable extent, except for the cases where such disclosure etc. is not required pursuant to laws and regulations.

      Name, address, telephone number, birth date, employment details (name of employer, occupation, telephone number etc.), information on past transactions etc.

      • "Request for Disclosure etc. of Personal Information" form designated by us
      • identification document (copy of driver's license or passport etc.)
      • power of attorney proving the representation authority (in case of a request made by a representative). Please note that an answer will not be provided until such representation authority is confirmed by us.

    4. Method of Answer

      A written answer will be sent to the address provided by a requesting customer or his/her representative. Please note that an answer may be sent to the relevant customer even if the request was made through a representative.

    5. Purpose of Utilization of Personal Information Acquired in connection with Request for Disclosure etc.

      Personal information acquired by us in connection with a Request for Disclosure etc. shall be used in research for such procedures, identification of the relevant individual and his/her representative, collection of fees, as well as for sending an answer to such Request for Disclosure etc.

    6. Fees

      Fees may be payable depending on the contents of researches.
